A morning with Penguin Books

On Tuesday 7th June, Year 12 spent the morning with Penguin Books learning about the book publishing process and careers at Penguin.  Based on Femi Fadugba’s debut YA novel 'The Upper World' (soon to be released as a film on Netflix), they completed different briefs across various roles in publishing: editorial, sales, digital development, design, and marketing and publicity.  They then went head-to-head to present their pitches leaving Penguin staff the difficult decision of who was the overall winner.  It was a fantastic session which saw our students collaborate with professionalism and enthusiasm.  Ms Harrison
