George Green's School and the Letta Trust
An Exciting Future for Your Child at George Green's School
Dear Parents and Carers,
In July, we wrote to share exciting news about the future of George Green’s School. After a year of careful consideration, the school's governing body unanimously decided to apply to become an academy and join the LETTA Trust.
This is the beginning of a new chapter for our school, one that will build on everything we already value while opening up fresh opportunities for your children and the community. We are now in a formal consultation period which runs from 1 September to 10 October 2025. This is your chance to have a say and ask any questions you may have.
What This Partnership Means for Your Child
Our primary goal is to ensure George Green's remains an exceptional and inclusive school for every child. Joining the LETTA Trust will help us achieve this by allowing us to:
Invest in Excellence: We will be able to invest more in excellent teaching, modern facilities, and a wider range of enrichment activities for your child.
Expand Opportunities: Your child will benefit from expanded opportunities, both within their lessons and through extra-curricular activities.
Strengthen Pathways to Success: We can strengthen the educational journey for students, creating clearer pathways from their first day at school right through to sixth form and into their future careers. LETTA has a proven track record in sixth form pathways and apprenticeships, which will benefit our older students.
Enhanced Support: LETTA is well known for its strength in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and inclusion, reinforcing our commitment to being a school where every child feels safe, supported, and seen.
A Community-First Partnership
LETTA is a trust based in our local area of Tower Hamlets and East London, and it shares our community-first approach and values. This partnership will secure the long-term future of George Green’s as a school that is proud of, and rooted in, our local community.
