Beyond the Classroom

Personal Development Activities and Clubs

At George Green’s, we enhance students’ social and cultural skills, by supporting their personal development throughout their school time. We understand the importance of personal development in addition to academic growth.

Our enriching programmes are designed to foster your child's talents and interests. Our eco committee, in particular, encourages students to engage with environmental issues, promoting responsible citizenship and a heightened sense of global awareness. This, along with our other enrichment opportunities, ensures your child receives a well-rounded education.

We do this by offering a broad range of extra-curricular activities like drama, music, sports and other clubs, in partnership with external organisations and by involving GGS students in our exciting  Careers Programme, aiming to raise our students’ aspirations, supporting them in whatever future they decide to pursue!

Our central location enables us to have excellent partnerships with global institutions like Barclays, JP Morgan, Clifford Chance, Canary Wharf Group, Morgan Stanley and many more. Students have the chance to participate in business mentoring workshops, aspirational careers talks, Oxbridge university visits, work experience, 1-1 careers guidance and mock Interviews and CV support.

Our school engages with a wide range of London-wide partner organisations to enable our students to gain valuable social and cultural capital. A few examples include  the Natural History Museum, Thames21, the V&A, English National Ballet, and of course the Duke of Edinburgh Award. We have also forged excellent links with local youth and community projects such as the Canaan Girls project, Spotlight and Young Tower Hamlets. Our historic connections to all things maritime, has enabled students to take part in water-based  residential  trips to UKSA on the Isle of Wight, as well as exciting voyages with Tall Ships Youth Trust and Ocean Youth Trust.
