Sixth Form Careers

Our Sixth Form Careers Programme is designed to give every student the tools, confidence, and guidance they need to build a successful future.

Y13 quote

My experiences at George Green's Sixth Form have really shaped my career decisions and allowed me to develop many skills such as confidence, communication and adaptability.  I feel like I am in a much stronger position to enter the world of work and secure a degree apprenticeship. On a personal level I feel like I am a much more well-rounded and confident person, and I credit this to the support from George Greens Sixth Form.

We provide personalised career advice that helps young people explore a wide range of career paths, university choices, and apprenticeship opportunities, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Throughout the programme, our Sixth Formers take part in workshops, industry talks, and career fairs, gaining valuable insights into a range of fields.

At George Green’s, we aim to prepare your child to feel confident when entering the world of work—see the brochure below to learn more. Our careers programme also places strong emphasis on skills' development, including CV writing, interview techniques, and work experience placements, ensuring students are well-prepared for the next step in their academic or professional journey.

What is Career Ready

At George Green's, we work with Career Ready, a social mobility charity who support our students by delivering a structured programme of mentoring and a paid internship, masterclasses, and workplace visits for young people from under-represented backgrounds.
