Curiosity Sparks as Year 6 Pupils Join Our School’s Science Workshop

A huge well done and thank you to Year 6 pupils of Seven Mills Primary School!

It was a pleasure to welcome you to George Green’s School to explore the wonders of the human body. Pupils observed a heart dissection, had the chance to feel real sheep hearts and lungs, and even saw the lungs inflate and deflate using a pump. They learned how blood flows around our body to make one heartbeat — fantastic curiosity and enthusiasm all round!

Growing a Love for Science at George Green’s School At George Green’s School

Our values - Aspiration, Equality, and Excellence - guide everything we do. We believe every child has the potential to achieve great things. That’s why we focus on developing knowledge, curiosity, and confidence - not just in the classroom, but in every part of school life. Working closely with our local primary schools, we’re helping to spark a love of science from an early age. Through fun, hands-on workshops, pupils in Years 5 and 6 get the chance to explore, experiment and discover the amazing world around them. These early experiences help children see themselves as young scientists, ready to ask questions, think creatively, and enjoy learning. By the time they join us in Year 7, they bring with them that same excitement and enthusiasm - ready to take the next step in their science journey.
