Mayer Brown Law Firm placements for our Year 12s

9 of our Year 12 students were given access  to exclusive placements at Mayer Brown Law firm in Liverpool street.
Our students were spread across Litigation (court),  Corporate, Employment, Finance, Intellectual Property, Real Estate and Restructuring. All students completed a range of activities including a mock trial case as well as a visit to the Royal Courts of Justice with the Lawyers.
Read our below about their experiences:

Ridwan- Year 12
I completed a one week placement at Mayer Brown in Litigation. We went the Royal Courts of Justice; the new one and the Victorian one. Our guide, Clark, took us inside two courtrooms where we were able to sit down and watch an actual court case take place. We then went to the Law Society and saw a lot of cool artifacts. We had a mock court trial case where I was a claimant and we were against the defendants about a certain case that actually happened in real life. It gave me an insight of how cases are carried out in actual courts and made me understand how much research and information you need beforehand before presenting in court.

Mayer Brown
