Within George Green’s School Careers programme, students are provided with multiple opportunities to access impartial and independent advice and guidance.

Working directly with Tower Hamlets Careers Service and the Young WorkPaths team based in the heart of our borough, this team of fully qualified career professional provide our students with impartial guidance needed to make a success transition from school to further education, training or employment.

Students are given the opportunity to access this support and at key transition points in years 11 and throughout the sixth form. Students are provided with the opportunity for either individual guidance or small group guidance dependent upon their need in year 11 and again within the sixth form.

In addition to this, they are supported by the pastoral teams in the form of their Tutors, Year Lead, Careers Lead and other key members of the school community.

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is when you combine practical learning with study. You are employed, earning a wage (80%) whilst studying towards a formal qualification (20%) There are various levels to an apprenticeships listed below:

LEVEL OF APPRENTISHIPS

Degree Apprenticeship: You can now complete a Degree Apprenticeship Level 6, this is when you are employed and earning a wage, whilst also studying a degree part time. Interviews

An Interview is a formal conversation between two or more people which usually assesses the suitability of a candidate for a Job. It is important to know how to behave in an interview to maximise your chances of being employed. See some tips below:
